Which has been your favourite/s concert/s that have you ever attended? And if you like different genres of music, which is your favourite of each genre?

The mines are:

- Ska music: Spanish band Ska-p, when I was 15 years old, I don't listen anymore ska, however sometimes I listen some aisled song.

- Metal music: Iron Maiden in Sonisphere 2012 in Barcelona, with Ghost. Also I enjoyed the last one that I went where played Finntroll and Skalmold. Also I had fun in the concert of the drunk Finnish band: Korpiklaani, yes they were drunk and Metsatöll.

- Classic music: Carmina Burana of Carl Orff

The concert that defrauded a bit: Arkona, the sound was a bit pretty bad and the performance could have been better.

Edit: attended, before I wrote assisted, but thank you to the correction of oceanloverOH I wrote it correctly.

Fucking false friends. Yes, it is attended. And the worst, it is that I know that :(

It is a big failure for someone like me when I know that assist is synonim to help. Thank you very much for the correction.

You actually do a GREAT job with English....I'm happy to help any time, not that you need much help!

kilgram, you're English is fine.

My favorite concerts were right out of highschool when Joe Walsh and his band barnstormed the midwest hitting northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin. Literally, concerts in the dusty hay of barns. You could walk up and talk to him between sets. His first album...

My all time favorite concert was The Mountain Goats at Breastfest in 2009. The lead singer is sort of an activist for breast cancer so he brought everyone at the concert on stage with him as he played in an effort to raise more donations.

When I was in a band 10 years or so ago we used to do these gigs at a shithole in Pittsburgh with Ska bands named Paging Mr. Herman and The Slick Olde Bishops. Ska is basically "FUCK YOU"... with horns. College kids - I used to set gigs up over the internet through emails and shit. We'd meet up at the bar and do our thing. One show we did we were all standing around the bar afterward sipping a pint and one of the kids said to us "loved your set, didn't expect you to be old dudes".

Favorite shows?

Tool - Youngstown, OH 6 or 7 years ago. I have a thread here somewhere where I posted pics from it.
Metallica - Pittsburgh, PA Master of Puppets tour
Sevendust - Pittsburgh, PA Opened for Creed

Saw a bunch more but those were the ones that stuck out in my head. One more:

Iron Maiden/Anthrax - Pittsburgh, PA at the Pitt Panthers basketball court, the Palumbo. My wife was 8 months 29 days pregnant with our first son. I sometimes ask him if he remembers the show.

I can't believe I forgot Eminem! ((slaps forehead))

I saw him at the Hip Hop Shop and went to see him after he got big.

I had his poster up in my dorm room.

Oh and Bob Dylan...I saw him mumble through a show but I was shrooming (SofL applies I was in undergrad) and I thought I was at Woodstock for some reason.

Yeh, I dunno I was tripping and was at an open air concert and literally thought I was at Woodstock. I ended up making out with some strange dude on a blanket when my friends found me.

Ahhhh, what heady days.

My brother's best friend is an amazing guitarist. The type that is so good that it makes you want to put your own guitar away and never play it again and he will sometimes play Hendrix songs...wow...just soulful, intricate, and mind-expanding.

Neil's voice is pretty much gone now; he doesn't sing, he growls. But in his heyday.....he was sooooo good!

I also saw Bob Dylan in Sydney when I was like 18 or 19. He sucked. He was almost dead. I paid for good seats and they sucked and were all crammed in tight. The whole thing was a fucking rip off. But I can say that I saw Bob Dylan. Plus the fucking lines at that fucker. I hated that concert. Old bastard. Bob Dylan ripped me off. Fucking hippy.

That would be a hell of a night though. Get all fired up with Judas Priest then sit back with some pot and enjoy the one drop.

Yep, never liked Brian Johnson as vocalist for AC/DC, but like him a lot as a person. :)

Bon Scott was the perfect vocalist for AC/DC, but I feel like Johnson was a pretty good fit all things considered. There were definitely some good songs during the Johnson years, and who could deny the catchiness of You Shook Me All Night Long?

I sorta misspoke when I said I "didn't like Johnson", I meant I didn't like him nearly as much as Bon Scott. But I suppose that's a bit unfair, since Scott was a one-of-a-kind. :headbang:
