I just noticed I got a nomination for MVP of China Daily Forum. I wont win because I waste too much time on you guys but its kinda nice to get a mention.
Why doesnt tPF do some more stuff like that? I have read that some peole like to have good stats on this site. Like reputation points and things. I have never really read the rules and do notunderstand how any of the karma stuff works or even how to send reputation points or mention someone. I do not like instructions especially if I am not putting that particular part together. Even then I dont like em. The people that write instructions are often morons.
But I understand how stats are important and can offer users a incentive to contribute. Like I have a mate that plays heaps of online games and he is a big Battlefield man. Like he like Battlefield and not Medal of Honour. ( id that their names? you know what I mean ) So on the Battlefield game they have rankings and also awards/medals that players can achieve by doing certain things. I know it sounds kinda lame but some people like that stuff. It keeps them interested and gives them a reason to come back and offers them with a heap of challenges to overcome.
Anyway, the rep system seems fine but maybe ity could go deeper. Like an MVP is a very American/capitalistic idea. Maybe tPF should have an MVP thing too.
In Australia we call MVP - Best and Fairest. Anyway.
Who is your MVP?
I am biased because I am socialist but I like to read IMpessPollys stuff the most. I also think that Captain Obvious is funny and an MVP candidate. I do not agree with Chris much really but I think that he is a very good and challenging person to debate with. I like to read the stuff from Codenamesection and grassroots conservative. Peter always has smart things to say.
Who would you nominate? Who contributes the most value to this site?
Being a socialist I think that every member is important, especially the ones that do not even post but just come to read. But I do think certain members offer more value to the site than others. I think that I deserve the nomination at China Daily because I take it seriously but on this site I can be a stupid jerk a heap and if I have been rude to you I am honestly very sorry and I do have guilt about being so anti-American since Australia is part of the US side. Like I feel like a traitor sometimes but in other ways I do not because our governments are psychopathic terrorists. Plus I do not even support protest let alone a violent rebellion. I avtually worry about it and if it did start to happen I would try to stop it.
Anyway what do you reckon? Would a yearly MVP award for tPF be a decent idea? Or too Chinese?
edit- my favourite member is Fyrenza. She is nice and funny. And smart.
