No we don't have the tapatalk plugin to my knowledge.

With the tablet and smartphones outpacing pc sales and becoming peoples primary internet access device, I would encourage you folks to give it consideration.

lol, I was the most impartial mod they ever had, because I didn't give a shit about anyones politics or feelings.... Best time was getting told "fuck you" by a righty and a lefty for my biased moderating within 3 seconds of each other.... But anyway that wasnt the issue there. The issue was council people with agendas and the general mistrust some of the higher ups had regarding non left wingers, it permeated into the mod room and made things un-fun actually. The voting consensus system is basically telling people you hire to do a volunteer job you don't trust thier judgment, and when enough of the core members whine, they lean the team left to compensate.

I can go on for days, but it's like pissing on a sinking ship...... Not really worth the effort.

It has the unique feature of telling someone that they've been quoted in the forum. At least it does for the one and only non-political tapatalk-enabled forum in which I belong. I only have the free version, not the pay but would get the $4 "Pro" version if I had more than one forum on there.

I'd like to try it. There are odd times when accessing the forum I can't post. I can browse the forum, read, but can't post, seems to hang. Not the forum since I can immediately after access it on a computer and post. It's got to be Chrome on phone. Tapatalk might get around that.

It's for tablets and smart phones. I prefer using my laptop or, when on the road, a netbook computer for browsing the Internet and forums. Some days I have a little time, but not enough to pull out the computer or no Wifi. In that case, Tapatalk is great.

Hah, figured out quoting in tt.

That's what I wasn't impressed about.

I'm expecting TT to be easy to use, maybe have spellcheck, maybe I can thank people now and see when someone reps me or mentions me - all of which I can't do on the mobile platform.

I didn't see any of that and I don't want to have to learn to speak a new language to do a couple basic things.

So, it's gonzo. In the shitcan with all the rest of the over-engineered, 'really doesn't work anyway' shit that everyone makes nowadays.

Used to be technology was easy and worked. We're well on the way on the downslope on the curve that is technology deevolution.

It takes some getting used to as things are arranged differently and all. I found quote-reply just by tapping around. Still working on search to where I can reproduce What's New? Without it I'm lost.

Spell check should be on your phone, it should check as you type.

I don't think spell check is on my phone. It's non-existent on tPF but it works on some other sites. I always figured it was site platform driven.

Your phone may not have it but this is the spell check/predictive typing that's on mine, where it's guessing next word:

Otherwise, yea, none.

I get something similar to that when I text someone but I'm guessing it's a function of the texting app. I also get spellchecking on other websites like Facebook. On this site - nothing. So I'm not sure I understand how it works. It might be something as simple as selecting an option on my phone to enable global spellchecking but hell if I know where that's at.
