To me the Americans that accepted money to fight for China against Japan must be of the most vile individuals in modern times. These men did not kill to defend their nation but for profit. These Americans decided that they would fight as mercs in a war that was not theirs for money.

Mercenaries from USA fighting for China against Japan. How does a human do that? They decide that they will kill for a paycheck. They were not defending their nation. They were killing for cash in a war that was not theirs.

The group consisted of three fighter (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fighter_aircraft) squadrons (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Squadron_%28aviation%29) with about 20 aircraft each. It trained in Burma (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burma) before the American entry into World War II with the mission of defending China against Japanese (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Empire_of_Japan) forces. Arguably, the group was a private military contractor (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Private_military_contractor), and for that reason the volunteers have sometimes been called mercenaries (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercenary)[citation needed (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Citation_needed)]. The members of the group had lucrative contracts with salaries ranging from $250 a month for a mechanic to $750 for a squadron commander, roughly three times what they had been making in the U.S. forces (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Armed_Forces).

Does this not disgust you?

Now think about the Pearl Harbour attack that Americans go on and on about. I am sure you know that Japan had little choice to attack and one main reason was because of the Americans embargoes on oil. As usual USA was being a sneaky coward and messing with Japan in dishonourable fashion. Japan had no real choice but to attack USA with military so why do American pretend to be so outraged? You so-called history is a joke. Are you people serious?

SAN FRANCISCO - Why does America continue to nurture a deep preoccupation with Pearl Harbor, 60 years after the Japanese attack on the U.S. naval base in Hawaii?

The cultural consensus seems to be that the U.S. base in Hawaii was sitting there minding its own business when all of a sudden "the evils of Japanese wartime aggression," to quote American columnist Michelle Malkin's recent characterization, came out of the blue and attacked an innocent nation, killing 2,400 Americans and sinking or crippling 18 ships. The idea that Japan may have been pushed into the attack by U.S. economic sanctions -- suggested briefly in a comment from a Japanese officer in the Pearl Harbor movie -- provoked the Los Angeles Times on June 28 to label the film "blatant revisionism." I wonder if America suffers from deficiencies in its history diet. Pearl Harbor remembrances seldom ask why America had an armada there in the first place, or what gave the U.S. the right to take away Hawaii's sovereignty and annex it as an American outpost in the middle of the Pacific.

The U.S. engaged in hostile acts aimed at Japan before Pearl Harbor. Under a covert U.S. government operation, American pilots were being trained in China to fight the Japanese as "volunteers," but of far greater impact were the American embargoes on oil, steel and other vital products in 1940 and 1941 that, coupled with a freeze on Japanese assets, were choking Japan. America's sanctions against Japan were prompted not only by a desire to evict Japan from China and release Japan's grip on the vital raw materials of Southeast Asia. Americans were horrified also at the large-scale atrocities inflicted on Chinese citizens by the Japanese Imperial Army.

But is that entirely true? Japan did launch the attack on Pearl Harbor before American "Flying Tigers" were able to fire their first shots at Japanese planes in China, but both sides were already on the road to war. Before the attack, the U.S. was making contingency war plans for razing Japanese cities with firebombs.

Are you not disgusted by 'Flying Tigers'

Do Australians speak Japanese? No? Well, you can thank Flying Tigers and Fallen Marines for that.
