I've always loved Blizzard's cinematics, but this is easily the best one yet. Just to give a little background for those not familiar with World of Warcraft lore.

35 years before the events of World of Warcraft, the Orcs and Draenei lived on the planet Draenor, not on the world of Azeroth. The Draenei were a more civilized, sophisticated civilization, while the Orcs were a barbaric and tribal civilization. The leader of one of the Orc clans, Gul'dan of the Shadowmoon Clan, was slowly corrupted over time by the demon lord of the Burning Legion known as Kil'jaeden, and finally sent one of his Pit Lords, Mannoroth (the winged, fiery demon in the cinematic), to Draenor. Gul'dan was the first Orc to drink Mannoroth's demon blood, which gave the Orcs their green skin and red eyes. Orcs were originally brown and grey in color.

After Gul'dan drank Mannoroth's blood, he gathered the other Orc warlords and their clans and convinced the mightiest among them, Grom Hellscream of Warsong Clan, to drink the blood, and after Grom drank the blood, all the other Orcs followed. After the Orcs were corrupted by the blood of the demons, the human Guardian Medivh of Azeroth was also corrupted by Kil'jaeden into building the Dark Portal on the Azeroth side as the Orcs built the Dark Portal on the Draenor side, and then the Orcs passed through the portal and attempted to conquer Azeroth. They were eventually stopped, and the Dark Portal was shut down, but not before it corrupted the world of Draenor and broke it apart into the fragmented, desolate land of Outland (which is the questing world for the Burning Crusade expansion and levels 60-70). The Orcs were now cut off from their homeworld and stranded in Azeroth, where they were captured and put into human prison camps.

The demonic corruption was eventually purged from their bodies when Grom Hellscream, with the aid of Thrall (former Warchief of the Horde), gave his life to destroy Mannoroth. The Orcs that drank the blood still retained their green skin, however.

One of the Orcs left on Draenor was Garrosh Hellscream, son of legendary Orc Grom Hellscream. Garrosh, along with a minority of his people now known as the Mag'har, did not drink the blood or go to Azeroth to conquer it. Garrosh would eventually come to Azeroth after the opening of the Dark Portal during the events of Burning Crusade, where he becomes Thrall's main general in the Northrend offensive against the undead forces of the Lich King (Wrath of the Lich King). After the Lich King is defeated, the corrupted dragon aspect Deathwing breaks free from his prison in the realm of the Earth elementals, Deepholm, and the subsequent destruction he unleashes is known as the Cataclysm. Thrall, as the world's most powerful shaman, steps down as Warchief of the Horde so he can work to repair Azeroth from Deathwing's destruction. He appoints Garrosh as his successor.

Garrosh proceeds to go mad with power, declaring open war on the Alliance and persecuting all non-Orcs in the Horde, even going so far as to murder the beloved High Chieftain of the Tauren, Cairne. He rebuilds the Horde and Orc capital of Orgrimmar from its former, native look to a more metallic, warring look and segregates all non-Orcs. In Mists of Pandaria, the new continent of Pandaria is discovered and Garrosh proceeds to conquer it. The Alliance finally puts aside their hatred of the Horde to help defend Pandaria from Garrosh's Hitler-esque madness. Garrosh finds the Heart of the Old God, Y'sharrj, and with it he destroys the sacred Vale of Eternal Blossoms in the center of Pandaria. Finally recognizing he must be stopped, the other leaders of the Horde join the Alliance and Pandaren in assaulting Garrosh's stronghold in Orgrimmar. United as one, the Horde Revolution (led by the leader of the Trolls, Vol'jin, and Thrall) and Alliance succeed in defeating Garrosh, and he is taken back to Pandaria in chains and put on trial for war crimes.

In Warlords of Draenor, the Dark Portal turns red. Garrosh escapes his Pandaren prison and travels to the Dark Portal, passing through it and traveling back in time to the Draenor of 35 years ago. Once there, he finds his father and warns him of the fate of the Orcs, should they drink the blood of Mannoroth. He shares with his people the Goblin engineering he learned as Warchief of the Horde on Azeroth, and unites the Orc clans into a new Iron Horde.

What we see in the cinematic is the iconic moment where Grom drank the blood of Mannoroth in history, but instead, he refuses and with Garrosh's help, he kills Mannoroth. But one thing in history will not change...Garrosh still leads the Orcs in the building of the Dark Portal, to conquer Azeroth as one united race.

Garrosh is the brown Orc with the jaw painted black, wearing the hood and leading the bombardment.
