If you had to get a small dog and these were the choices, which would it be?

Are there any differences in care? I know many pure breeds have health issues.

That last thing looks like a rabbit.

All pug faced animals can overheat so you need to watch them closely in summer.

I like them both but I prefer the pug.

I like real dogs. I knew a family with a pug once and they had to like, burp it after it ate and stuff. Just ridiculous.

My favorite breed is boxer. I don't have one now because they are very athletic dogs & I can't provide one the activity needed. They are wonderful family pets, smart (easily trained) and loyal.

then both would be bad for me. My dogs must be able to spend a day outside with me.

Reminds me of the Luck Dragon from Neverending Story.

Cute small dog. I don't mind small dogs as long as they aren't pathetic.

What's wrong with that huge thing you got now?

he's a rescue dog

my wife's allergic so it was a poodle or a chihuahua

he's 16 now and still gets around pretty well

all of mine are rescues...they may be small, but they don't know it! I have house guests now with 2 more chihuahuas. No need of a doorbell. I also have 5 stray cats outside...they are welcome to dine but if they stay over 2 weeks, they get a trip to the vet & return 'slightly' altered. My son says I'm working up to becoming a full fledged crazy cat lady.

Pugs are wonderful family pets. They are sturdy, smart and loyal. Had one for 17 yrs, and broke both mine and the kids hearts when she passed.

I would go for a non-pure race. At least they are healthier.
