How to Post a Video From Youtube

Tinkerbell, here's how I do it.

I'll edit this if I need to and others can add how they do it in their own posts on here.

First of all, I don't even bother with the 'film roll' button. All you have to do is post a Youtube link and it will turn into the video. The thing to keep in mind is that it can't be just any Youtube link, it needs to be the 'share' kind. Here's how you do it.

1. Go to the Youtube site and find video that you want to post on here.

2. Still on the Youtube site, underneath that video and to the left of the number of views, you'll see a button marked Share. Click on that.

3. Copy the link that appears and paste it in a post here on this site.

That's it! Three easy steps. Give it a shot.

Thats what I told her :but: when I do it your way. It doesnt post up the video. :dau: So I copy Url, hit share.....hit film roll and paste in there. Hit okay and it auto pops up as the reply. :icon_blackeye: :evil5: :laughing7:

That is the easiest way but sometimes I just use the BB code instead. It's about as fast really and always works. Sometimes I get lucky and they have HTML enabled and then you can have lots of fun. :)

I have tried it both ways. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Guess it depends on the video.

The Share button gives link but to that page. The embed code doesn't work. Must be some way.

Oh this is easy.....when you hit "reply to thread" you will see icons about where you write. The second from the right is the youtube one. It looks like a couple of frames of film and bluish....

Click that and paste the url in it. Done.
