So I was watching a wildlife show last night and I'm confused

I was wondering : Since the snake doesn't belong there and you don't want it there just shoot it.
Turns out the kill the pythons later anyway. What's the point of risking getting bitten? Showmanship?

Notice on Discovery programs about gold mining. Gold mining is hard work. But on Discovery it has a lot of drama.

I loved to fly airplanes and at Ft. Ord when I volunteered for Airborne training at FT. Benning, I thought it would be great fun. But I still was a draftee who found out at Ft. Benning my ticket to Europe lay with me dropping out of Airborne training prior to starting it. I had a much better time in Germany than I would have in the US AB bases.

Besides, a jump lasts but a few seconds.

Probably not wanting to damage the skins, also having lived in Florida for many years and having a daughter who lives in that area, we have learned PETA and other animal protection agencies demand the reptile be euthanized humanely. They don't care if the wranglers get badly bitten.

Yeah... with ghost hunting and stuff. Loved watching Ghost Mine. A little history,mining,ghost hunting and angst all in one show. It was great.
