The launch of a privately owned Falcon 9 rocket from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station was delayed on Saturday when a computer detected a possible problem with one of the rocket's engines, a Space Exploration Technologies official said.

At least this shows that the company places safety above profits.

Yes.....It is good that they are thinking. Especially when all eyes are on them too.

We need this private thing to kick off hard. We are paying other countries to put us into a place we were pioneers in. Bullshit.

Private firms should exploit NEO while the government pushes out into the solar system.

Do you think we should build a base on the moon? I am in favor of this.....despite what Gig-n-rich had to say. Think we can do it? We should do it before anyone else. :satellite:

We should certainly do it before someone else does. I imagine that if it was done properly it could even turn a profit.

Hell we maintained a space station for years, I'd assume we could live on a land based community on the moon. I'd love to take a trip there could I afford it. Other than that seems it would be easier to get to a farther space station when needed or just a farther jump to another planet. Makes sense to me.

Yeah, plus I think Branson is charging like 200k for a trip into Orbit. I think we also had something up about Private industry looking to make Space Hotels or Motels.
