Is it humane or acceptable to harvest shark fins? I'm of the opinion that sharks are remorseless killers, so there should be no issue with killing them right back.

I think I need further evidence such as video that they are killers of humans. No eye witnesses means that these are only alleged shark related deaths. Where's your evidence?

sharks are no more capable of being remorseless (or remorseful) than they are of tapdancing.

i say it's unacceptable

Sharks kill humans because sharks are hungry and humans are stupid enough to go into their domain acting like shark food.

So no, I don't think that gives us the right to kill them right back.

Does it make a difference what species of shark it is? For example, there are land sharks and ocean sharks, big sharks and small sharks, fat sharks and skinny sharks, etc.

Land sharks violate the non aggression principle by tricking humans with a false delivery scheme and then attacking them in their own home.

My daughter and her share the same island and both surf. I shall ask her if she knows Bethany. Sharks loved her arm.

A point I was trying to make in the first "Shark Fin thread" was this:
If we, humans, are a product of evolution than the creatures we cause to die out have in fact been selected for extinction and those that flourish in our presence have been selected to do well

A bit tacky, Bob.

Bob seems to think that Chloe cares more about sharks than people because she seems less concerned about shark attack victims than overfishing. As if sharks were sneaking into peoples homes and attacking them. It's weird but it's Bob so...

If I agree with Chloe does that mean I love her and want to marry her or that I just think Bob is a tool? Maybe I like sharks.

I'm not settling down. Marriage is a racket. If I live to 40 I'll be in some south American country and maybe have knocked up some hot, big assed Spanish chick that depends on me for groceries and alcohol.

So according to the OP, cutting our limbs off and dumping our bodies in the ocean is acceptable.

Or maybe I'll rescue Chloe from a life of boredom and we can be the Eco Bonnie and Clyde?

I'm starting to feel like my old self again. I was becoming too sentimental and nice. I really was.

How can we eat people if we throw them in the ocean? That makes no sense.

No, it was Rina and her Catholic Jesusy bullshit influencing "Codename" and then her weird hippy family and stupid fluffy dogs and polwatch with her red hair and freckles and Chloe with her dreams of Greenpeace. I got stupid for a little bit because all the estrogen rubbed off.

Never again.

Sharks should be protected. The ocean requires apex predators for balance.
