There's more great stuff in the article, I only cited the part that supports the attached pic.

The Kansas Supreme Court unsurprisingly took disciplinary action against Hawver in order to disbar him. During a disciplinary hearing earlier this year, Hawver represented himself before the court — dressed as Thomas Jefferson. The Capital-Journal reported from inside the courtroom (http://cjonline.com/news/2014-09-12/hawver-appears-kansas-supreme-court-dressed-thomas-jefferson), and it wasn’t pretty:

“Wearing a white powdered wig, a dark 18th century suit and long white stockings, Hawver sat in the Supreme Court listening to two earlier cases before his disciplinary case was called. Hawver represented himself during the hearing before the Supreme Court and before the disciplinary administrator’s office in November 2013 … Hawver said he dressed as Jefferson, his personal hero, to see whether the Kansas Supreme Court would protect his constitutional rights. ‘Am I going to get you to protect my rights to defend my client’ as I see fit? Hawver said.

sounds like an interesting person...they are prob better off without him practicing law. I was re-reading Helter-Skelter & ran across another interesting legal tidbit. When the DA went to get a search warrant for Spahn Ranch, the local judge (in his 70's) had to look up procedures. He had not issued a search warrant in his area in 18 years. btw: this is the judge that Gov Reagan wanted brought out of retirement for the Angela Davis trial.

It is always entertaining to read the Disciplinary section of the month bar journals that I get with my bar memberships.

Typical Democrat story. You forgot she was acquitted.

Cuba[edit (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Angela_Davis&action=edit&section=10&editintro=Template:BLP_editintro)]

After her acquittal, Davis visited Cuba. In doing so she followed the precedents set by her fellow activists (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civil_rights_activist) Robert F. Williams (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_F._Williams),Huey Newton (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Huey_Newton), Stokely Carmichael (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stokely_Carmichael), and Assata Shakur (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assata_Shakur). Her reception by Afro-Cubans (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Afro-Cuban) at a mass rally was so enthusiastic that she was reportedly barely able to speak.[30] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angela_Davis#cite_note-30) Davis perceived Cuba to be a racism-free country, which led her to believe that "only under socialism could the fight against racism be successfully executed." When she returned to the United States her socialist leanings increasingly influenced her understanding of race struggles within the U.S.[31] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angela_Davis#cite_note-Cuba-31)
Russia[edit (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Angela_Davis&action=edit&section=11&editintro=Template:BLP_editintro)]

In 1979 she was awarded the Lenin Peace Prize (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lenin_Peace_Prize) from the Soviet Union (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soviet_Union) for her civil rights activism.[32] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angela_Davis#cite_note-32) She visited Moscow in July of that year to accept the prize.

On August 7, 1970, Jonathan Jackson (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jonathan_P._Jackson), a heavily armed 17-year-old African-American high-school student, gained control over a courtroom in Marin County, California (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marin_County,_California). Once in the courtroom, Jackson armed the black defendants and took Judge Harold Haley, the prosecutor, and three female jurors as hostages.[18] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angela_Davis#cite_note-Trial-1-18)[19] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angela_Davis#cite_note-Register-Guard-19) As Jackson transported the hostages and two black convicts away from the courtroom, the police began shooting at the vehicle. The judge and the three black men were killed in the melee; one of the jurors and the prosecutor were injured. The firearms used in the attack, including the shotgun used to kill Haley, had been purchased by Davis two days prior and the barrel of the shotgun had been sawed off (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sawed-off_shotgun).[19] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angela_Davis#cite_note-Register-Guard-19) Davis was also corresponding with one of the inmates involved.[20] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angela_Davis#cite_note-20) Since California considers "all persons concerned in the commission of a crime, whether they directly commit the act constituting the offense... principals in any crime so committed", Marin County Superior Judge Peter Allen Smith charged Davis with "aggravated kidnapping and first degree murder in the death of Judge Harold Haley" and issued a warrant for her arrest. Hours after the judge issued the warrant on August 14, 1970, a massive attempt to arrest Angela Davis began. On August 18, 1970, four days after the initial warrant was issued, the FBI director J. Edgar Hoover made Angela Davis the third woman and the 309th person to appear on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted Fugitive List (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FBI_Ten_Most_Wanted_Fugitives).[18] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angela_Davis#cite_note-Trial-1-18)[21] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angela_Davis#cite_note-21)
Soon after, Davis became a fugitive and fled California. According to her autobiography, during this time she hid in friends' homes and moved from place to place at night. On October 13, 1970, FBI agents found her at the Howard Johnson Motor Lodge in New York City.[22] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angela_Davis#cite_note-NY_Hotel-22) President Richard M. Nixon congratulated the FBI on its "capture of the dangerous terrorist, Angela Davis".

I do the same thing with the CPA licensure updates. It's kinda funny seeing someone I know get a license infraction but it's usually for something stupid like not getting the right CPE.

PA licenses barbers also and I get those updates which is bizarre, must be the same administrative governing board. Included in them are nail salons which are 99.3% Korean and most of them are named Nguyen.
