I worked for the IRS for a long time.

Redrose, have you heard of Joe Banister?

I met him on the west coast. With him was another former IRS official who later was put into prison.

When you show what the IRS really is, it might get you jailed.

Joe worked for the IRS in San Jose, CA.

Anyway, his story is he kept hearing claims that the income tax law is phony. As a well trained CPA, his plan was to debunk it once and for all. Trouble is, he spent maybe two full years investigating and ended up agreeing, which shocked him.

He walks into the IRS office, keep in mind he was no audit person only, he could put handcuffs on you or shoot you. He wore a pistol on the job. Joe put a bunch of papers on his boss desk and implores him to debunk the papers. I need to add that Joe himself took many taxpayers to court and helped jail some of them.

30 days go by and Joe asks the boss, how the investigation was going. He gets stonewalled. Told the report he assembled was in DC to be checked out.

Joe gave up in frustration then resigned when he realized they never planned to tell him the flaws.

Joe came to the meeting with a woman from Georgia. She audited people. She believed in the IRS so much she got awards. So had Joe got awards and regular raises. Sherry Jackson is the woman. Sherry explained her story. I heard it one time so won't try to repeat her words. I have a link to her. Sherry was tiny and a ball of fire. She too took her concerns to her boss and ended up resigning. She then advised taxpayers and she was arrested by the IRS.
