First a Buddhist monk (http://www.tsemrinpoche.com/tsem-tulku-rinpoche/yeti-bigfoot-sasquatch/yeti-on-lonely-planet.html), H.E. Tsem Rinpoche, who blogs about the Yeti.

As most of my blog readers know, I regularly blog about Bigfoot (aka Yeti and Sasquatch) (http://www.tsemrinpoche.com/?s=bigfoot)… on various Bigfoot sightings (http://thepoliticalforums.com/?p=32726), new-found evidence (http://thepoliticalforums.com/?p=43830), Bigfoot sighting locations (http://thepoliticalforums.com/?p=51121), documentaries (http://thepoliticalforums.com/?p=4336) etc. These mysterious creatures, that has managed to escape from human discovery for centuries, has been one of my deep interest since I was a young child.

I have previously heard many times that the Yeti, although fearsome, are very spiritual beings. Within the Tibetan Buddhist community, it is known that Yeti’s have been sighted many times bringing food to monks meditating in the Himalayas. In fact, one of my friends, a highly attained Lama mentioned to one of my students that in my past life, Yeti’s would serve as my messenger while I meditated in the caves within the Himalayan mountains. There’s no reason why a Buddhist lama would lie about this… and I thought, perhaps this is the reason why I am so fascinated by them now.

Drew is playing Shadows of Mordor and has stolen the Xbox from me or else I would not be posting. Maybe this is my chance to play.

Codename Section , you missed some good ones tonight! Monsters in America had one where some guy in the Sierras had actually shot two, killed one and went back later and got DNA and turned it into a lab.

If true, that's horrible.

Yes, the guy that shot them knew he had done something horrible and had buried the one he had killed. He went back months later after much prodding to get the sample, but he didn't take the bones or body.

I was looking at that! I swear I am so jealous. Next spring I am going on a long Squatch hunt and I talked to a buddy of mine (SEAL) he's in, as well.

I'd say a trip to the sierras are going to be your best bet of seeing one.

We were thinking Willow Creek but apparently all the big squatch sightings are now in Texas for some reason. Over 10 ft tall.

I've heard of a few from Texas, Colorado, and back east, but N. Ca. has the most consistent sightings.

Question, on proper bigfoot semantics - if you see more than one, have you witnessed... bigboots? Or bigfeet? Or bigfoai?

Or a gaggle or something?

That's true, We hike trails in the mountains very often, and we never see any bones. No fox, bear, raccoon, skunk, bobcat, squirrel, nothing, and we know they are there. We see deer antlers, but no bones.

The lowland gorilla was thought to be the only gorilla species until the mountain gorilla was found about a century ago, and they'd been around for thousands of years.

The proper term for people who see more than one bigfoot is "really, really stoned"
