Yello! Just wanted to inquire about the BLOG feature here. I don't hear much mentioned in the forums about this fine feature and I think it is well worth mentioning so more can be involved with it.
Btw, I went to the Blog main page at one point and saw that there was a button to start a new blog only it did not appear to be working. Now I see that that feature appears to be gone. Are there no new blogs being allowed at this time? If there is, how does one get one started? Thanks.

Well now that's not a bad idea, Mr., but that's not quite what I had in mind but will keep your heads-up handy for another time though one shouldn't feel they need to have a special blog to post such important items that are mainstream these days otherwise we might think there was censorship going on from the close-minded at mind and heart.

I started my blog about two years ago, maybe. I don't remember what I did- a lot of trial and error. But if I figured it out, you are in like flint. I would advice you to get the spam filter for it or you will be flooded. I would have to look for the company's name. They have a free version.

How would I know what gay people are doing if it wasn't for you?

Well now how exactly would that work here? If I chose to initiate a blog the blog would be handled by The PoliticalForums just like all the others that are here, right? So, how exactly would I go about installing a spam filer into TPFs as you appear to be suggesting? Curious to know or am I misunderstanding what you are saying?

If you create a blog on our blog site you are the administrator of it. I have never seen any complaints about a blog here, so I have no idea how that would be handled.
On your blog you can make your own posts and if anyone decides to comment it stays hidden until you approve it. It is totally up to you. I have not allow asshat comments on my blog often.
But it is also likely that you will get zero non-spam traffic. It doesn't seem like many members looks at the blog posts.
That is fine by me. My blog is for me and my purposes. Nobody else. If nobody ever looks at it I would (1) not notice, and if I accidentally noticed (2) not give a shit.

How would I know what gay people are doing if it wasn't for you?
http://smiley.nowdararpour.ir/ahswen/80.gifI'm laughing because of your keen interest in what Gay people are doing. Although I must admit I'm not the only one who posts info. on that. There are many others. In general, I take an active interest in those citizens who have been scorned and marginalized and who are seeking Equality that the rest already have. There indeed are many items that come about on a day to day basis for the LGBT community but at one point, not too long ago, folks here seemed to have gotten their undies in a twist about my posting about such issues. Can't understand why since all they had to do was tune the thread out. That's all. They didn't have to ever take it to the extent they did such as to actually go into my threads to read what was being said, in other words, to go out of their way to become offended.
Ah, but they did because you know whenever I post something about those issues the readership here likes to go and see what was said which is fine, in fact, it's Great! But what I still don't understand is the apparent intolerance to those postings by some. I mean, if folks are so intolerant of that then others should also be intolerant of anything posted here that is Heterosexual in nature, for parity. What could be fairer than that? And if you say oh, but we're in the majority and we can do that, then that would only serve to prove my point that the majority always wants to throw the minority under the bus and keep them out while they get to go around full circle comfortably and without incident. That would not be fair, however. That is, if Fairness is at all important to this forum, maybe it isn't and its reputation would soon be able to reflect that. So, can't we all just get along without the "you post here and we'll post there" segregation syndrome?

You joke, but you have no idea how true that is  One of my quirks is that I think best when I diagram my thoughts out. It could be the simplest little thing, like a chronological list of all the James Bond movies, for example, and I have to diagram it out.
Everything is very jumbled in my head, so diagramming it helps me clear my thoughts and straighten everything out. It's also why I'm no good at public speaking unless I have a chance to diagram out everything I'm saying.

His secret identity is Oliver Queen. Queen is a former billionaire, former owner of a billion dollar company based in the Green Arrow's home city of Star City. He took up the mantle of the Green Arrow, the Emerald Archer, utilizing his superior archery skills and physical prowess to stop evildoers from terrorizing his city. He eventually lost his business and was forced out onto the streets of Star City, where he learned of a whole new (new to him, age-old for the people) nemesis facing the people of his city: poverty. So he added a new dimension to the Green Arrow: he became a Robin Hood-esque hero and believer in socialism, dedicated to helping the people against not just super-powered (and not so super-powered) villains, but also against the wicked big businesses and banks that also hurt his city and its denizens.

I think most people don't get the reference. If they did, they'd probably understand where I'm coming from better.
I mean, I've never owned a billion dollar business, my family has always been lower middle class, but I've been down at the very bottom of the class system too, I know what to fight for.

Well that is good to know. Fighting, as I do also, for those who are disadvantaged especially when they are elderly, children, sick, and disabled is a wonderful thing to do as most people in those groups cannot adequately fight for their rights and defend themselves against the inequities that are so prevalent in our country today.
I just wanted to amend my comments to include the poor who many times are poor not due to not wanting to work but that they have no means of going to college without incurring great debt through student loans that they just cannot afford pay back when and if they get out of school. Then of course, the government will come in and take money out from them one way or another to help repay those loans.
So, in essence, they can never really get ahead due to not being financially able to. I wish there was a law that would Compel all employers to hire those who go to college or at least have tried for a year or two and pay them an adequate wage to help them forge ahead and stay out of the poor house.

I think I have been blessed. I don't look at many of my experiences and trials as anything less than a blessing, because they shape me and make me stronger. I won't bore you with my life story, but in just 23 years I've lived through my grandfather's and mother's disease (that there's a chance I may also have) and the resulting disability. I've been homeless. I've been a victim of both criminals and bad police (but also good police). I've been a victim of male rape. I'm bisexual. I'm a religious minority.
Just all these things and more in my very short life have come together and made me realize exactly what I need to do and how to do it.

I've kinda come to terms with it of late, thanks to some good friends of mine and my best of friends, my wife. The fear that consumed me for most of my life over it is gone. I figure at this point, if I have it, I should have enough time to get all my affairs in order and do what I need to do with my life before that becomes impossible. If I don't have it, same thing, just with more time (hopefully).
Life goes on. Things need to be done. In the grand scheme of things, I'm just one guy. There's a whole world full of guys and gals alike that need help and I'm not going to let my own problems get in the way of me helping them with theirs.

What a wonderful attitude to take, G.A.! And that type of attitude just has to go with a good heart for humanity. That is what is so needed these days because it is sorely lacking. KUDOS to you for that!
I try to speak for those who have been unfairly marginalized, discriminated against, scorned, beaten, and reviled for who they are and for whom they love because people continue to make life hard for them and many times they even hate them with such ill intent that it is almost too difficult to bear seeing or learning about. They have all but forgotten about loving their fellow man and leaving all judgment to God. And if anyone wants to despise me for doing what I do then do so. But I will never apologize for my efforts to reach deep into my heart to touch the heart of others and help make their day just a little bit brighter.
