Reason: Time for a Police Offenders Registry. http://google.com/newsstand/s/CBIwyLmPySA

A good read. We register felons and sex offenders, why not bad cops and crooked politicians while we're at it?

There was a website called ratemycop.com a while ago, but Godaddy I suppose got the lean on them. However that was private sector which has a way of buckling under government pressure.

Were it a government based listing, it might prove more resilient(I am squinting real hard through my rosy mirror shades) since it could have force of law right?

The really bad cops don't last on the job. So the registry would be a list of civilians.

Texas Cop Tasers 76-year-old Driver Over Expired Inspection: 'Goddamned Nazi Stormtrooper' (http://crooksandliars.com/2014/12/texas-cop-tasers-76-year-old-driver-over)A Texas police officer was placed on administrative leave on Friday after he reportedly used a Taser on a 76-year-old man after the suspect had already been forced to the ground.

Everything that an officer does is on the record, and available through freedom of information for the asking.

I say while we are at it, we logo up the officer and Criminals. so at a glance we can see what they are about. for example for every arrest that an officer make they get a gold star for felons and silver for misdemeanor. they get a green bar for every 100 tickets, and for ever time they are force to use there gun against a thug, they get a bulls eye put on their uniform just to make the left happy.

Then for criminal another system could be used and they would be forced to wear the uniform. And for the bed wetter's that hate the cops they could have an anti cop tat place on their forehead so the officers would not be forced to put their life in danger to protect them.

That should just about cover it!

Yes resisting arrest is going to get you in trouble!

I am sorry people bot the arrest is not the place where you fight for your rights, that is what courts are for,, If an officer has reasonable cause to detain you? well you are likely going to get arrested. If you are Not guilty, then that is for the legal system.

I just when through a legal action for an assault that I was found to be not guilty, but had I resisted arrest you might very well have had me on one of these films'. I co-operated with the police was out of the station in just a few hours, and on my way home, worked with the prosecutor that thought he was gong to get me to plea bargain for defending my wife against a sexual assault.

I was found not guilty by a jury and they actually applauded when they saw the video. (they were scolded by the judge, he was pissed) yes it took a few months but that was the way our system was designed.

The person that thought my Wife's body was designed for his hand toy? he is not having such a good time. He has already lost his job, and his wife is divorcing him and he, even though being connected with the local community is gong to have a sexual assault on his record and became a registered sex offend. And add to that the fact that I saw to it that his right had won't work the same ever again?

Well you get what you deserve most of the time.

In Cigar video what would have been the outcome if the young lady would have been taught to comply and fight it in court it would have been a different situation.

If you want to fight the cops they are going to fight back.

Where'd you find this?

The Cop was fingering his gun from the moment he first approached the victim's car.

The rough stuff starts when the victim objects to the Cop attempting to handcuff him. What had he done at that point that would make the pig think cuffing him was justified?

Prediction: 100% chance the Cop is not charged with anything over this.

The assumption they're convicted felon cops being registered?

Why bother? They're likely not cops and politicians anymore.

That's fine if you know you can afford to lawyer up and fight back. What about people who can't afford a lawyer? Legal aid provides lawyers that plea bargain, so even if you're not guilty, you still have to pay for a crime you didn't commit. There may be a connection between poverty and resisting arrest.

Legal Aid is provided if you choose to plea bargain or go to trial is your choice. I think that appointed council does a pretty good job in general. And of course there are several associations that are human rights watch dogs that will help too.

But if you think that resisting arrest is the way to go? By all means that is your choice, just don't bitch when you get your chops busted.

Public defenders tend to be overworked and underpaid and the quality of service reflects it. They don't have the time or budget to develop exculpatory evidence, so they don't tend to try. If the case is sufficiently high profile a defendant might luck into a lawyer taking the case pro bono, but that is rare. Most poor defendants just end up going to prison on a lesser charge.
