KABUL, Afghanistan — A suicide bomber attacked U.S. and Afghan forces at a checkpoint Wednesday in eastern Afghanistan, killing 21 people, including three U.S. soldiers, U.S. and Afghan officials said.

It was the third day in a row the Americans were targeted by insurgents as persistent violence complicates efforts to train Afghans to take over their own security in preparation for the withdrawal of most combat troops at the end of 2014.

The bombings came the day after two attacks in the south in which militants stormed a NATO military base and attacked a police checkpoint. U.S. troops were wounded in the attack on the NATO base, officials said. On Monday, three gunmen dressed in Afghan police uniforms killed one American service member and wounded nine others in Kandahar’s Zhari district.....snip~

We lost 4 of our Troopers this Week. One was killed by Afghans dressed up as Afghani Cops. Our Boyz have their hands tied behind their back in this fiasco. Waiting to be fired up on, waiting to for cause to bring action.

Notice how much we heard about this news this week. 3 Attacks from Monday non-stop. What the hell is Allen doing? What is Obama doing? There is no reason for us to trust anything the Afghans say or do.

SO then why play it any other way? This is not the way to win a war. The Afgahans and or any in the ME have never seen real WAR from the US not TOTAL WAR!

*NEVER FORGOTTEN*

A close friend of mine, a Vietnam War veteran stated that the key to success with his operations deep in the bush (1969-70) was keeping the ARVN upwind at all times; there is no comsec or even close-in safety for troops if ANF are within arms length of an American soldier.
