I seem to have a virus on my computer so I'm back on the phone browser.

It comes from the Google search page and it's called Trovi.
If you have it don't search for info on it using Google.

Der Der

I'm having to restore the computer to original condition.

I'm sorry to hear about that, Howey. Be sure to initiate a full search and destroy for the virus with good Anti-Virus software as well as Anti-Malware. Update the definitions first and then when it is finished and the virus has been removed do another search to be sure that no remnants remain.

Here is a free downloadable program that comes well recommended.

Norman Malware Cleaner

Let us know if you want to know more about other free Anti-Virus and Anti-Malware software. Hope you can get rid of the problem. By the way, I never use Google as a search engine due to reports about spyware and now your virus.

Great!! http://smiley.nowdararpour.ir/ahswen/3.gif I was afraid for a moment that you would have to buy a new computer if the virus was extensive and you couldn't run an AV program.

Well even new computers can contract a nasty virus sometimes.

I've heard AVAST is good. If you use Firefox as your web browser you will have to reinstall your add-ons if you did a "restore".

Puppylinux.

Make a live disk, boot up your machine with it.

Mount your drive(s) that is infected. Go hunting.

Just be careful about what you delete while doing so.

Linux is often a inhospitable environment for most viruses to run in. One of the reasons I like it so much.

Sent from my evil cell phone.

I've been using AVAST! (free version) for years now. Never had a problem.

Tried to use the paid upgrade & it kept on locking my computer up.

Had to do keep doing system restores.

Tech help was abysmal.

I contested the charge on my credit card & had it all cancelled.

Back to using the free version.

Yup. It works great on my computer but I had to take it off the cell phone.
