Not only did he get many followers but 900 people died after drinking a cyanide laced drink. How did he do it? Was he dumb? No, he watched and sought out his prey. From the African Americans that felt isolated, the poor and any that didn't feel they were accepted. How, he used the name of God to fool others.

Interesting, many people look but never see.

Hey. Forget Jim Jones. He's small time. Obama got tens of millions to drink the Kool-Aid.

For the record, Jim Jones used Flavor-Aid. Biggest brand-switch in the history of marketing otherwise. When was the last time you heard "Drink the Flavor-Aid" ?

It was tragic. I remember it when it happened.

You are correct but with the same content, many do this. They seek out their prey, the ones who won't question things. Big or small, some refuse to see what is in front of them. Obama was a member of a church but none questioned what type or what they believed in. Most didn't question his voting history or how he all of a sudden was a Presidential candidate. Many groups only see the word God and all of a sudden everything is ok.

I do too. If you questioned them and their thinking do you think they would say you hated them? He controlled these people into believing he could sleep with any woman or child. When did they become so blind as not to see what was wrong?

Hey. The world is full of lemmings. Look at David Koresh and the Branch Davidians (check spelling). Heck, look at Hitler, the master Pied Piper. To his credit, Hitler was a purist. He practiced what he preached to the end.

Look at liberals. The feeble minded always have been, and always will be. The Democrat Party is founded on it. So are many religions. As the thread leads.

Yes, another good example Hitler a Darwin nut. His mom was religious but Hitler rejected Him but he used this to his advantage. Mom a Catholic and he also attended as a child so he must be a good man. LOL

Look at Scientology. Those people are in a cult.
And Islam. Disobeying is a death sentence. Converting to another religion is a death sentence.

Yes, any religion that will kill you for wanting out should always be a red flag. Scientology is a cult and will work people without money then let them go when no longer needed, it's mostly for the rich. People in cults have to watch what they say because people are always watching them.

But unlike some cults, Jim was admired and his group helped the poor and elderly. He came across as a good person helped the ones who followed him. Problem is the longer you were in it the more demanding it became. Work with little sleep, had to pass loyalty test, and of course a person knew more things were happening behind closed doors. Sometimes when people see so good of work they tend to ignore or being critical of him.
