TRIPOLI, Libya (AP) — The rebel commander in Tripoli says Moammar Gadhafi's son al-Saadi has called him to negotiate the terms of his own surrender.

The commander, Abdel Hakim Belhaj, spoke to The Associated Press on Wednesday. Belhaj says al-Saadi first called him on Tuesday and asked whether his safety could be guaranteed. Belhaj says he told al-Saadi he would not be harmed but he would be treated according to the law.

Belhaj says al-Saadi called back again early Wednesday, but he missed the call.

Looks Like Gadhafi's youngest Son is surrendering. They still have not found Gadhafi and his other sons. His oldest Leads the 32nd brigade. Yet it does not say the youngest is with any of his brothers, or that he was offering Surrender from Gadhafi himself.

Then again he might have been trying to bait Jabril in and just whack. The Brits helped lead them to the trap. For they are surrounding Sirte.

Also Wednesday, Amnesty International urged Libya's rebels to end attacks against black Libyans and sub-Saharan Africans, saying fighters engaging in such abuse should be detained and investigated. Amnesty said its delegation in Tripoli had witnessed a number of incidents in which the rebels detained or abused black hospital patients. The rebels have often targeted dark-skinned foreigners, suspecting them of being sub-Saharan mercenaries hired by the Gadhafi regime.....snip~ :o
