One of the hats I wear to pay my bills is rock and roll. My band does classic rock covers by artists like Styx, Boston, Kansas, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, Dio, VH, Sabbath, etc....

Here's a lil' sumpin-sumpin a fan recorded of us a couple of weeks ago. The audio is somewhat lacking, especially in the higher registers (tends to go flat.) But it ain't to bad and it is free so what the heck?

I'm a drummer, if that counts.

Well, used to be. Haven't banned in a few years. Don't have any audio, but I have a few pics.

Nice stuff bro. But REAL men play bass. (And drummers steal our girlfriends... LOL!)

Nice pearl kit. I got a set of Mapex in my basement we rehearse on. That kit sounds awesome too. Not positive but I think our drummer is playing on a set of Pearls in the video above. He travels with a couple of different sets depending on the venue.

Here are some cool photos I have taken along the way.

277 Here is one of us with Eddie Money the night we opened for him in Beloit, WI. That's me, right there, taking the photo. LOL!

278This is Robin McCauley. Formerly of MSG (McCauley Shankar Group <sp?>) He is now the lead singer for Survivor (band that did Eye of the Tiger) He was watching us do our sound check right here, the night we played with them. For shits and grins we checked with "Gimme Your Love," just to honor him. We NAILED it. Got some serious respect. From then on, through the rest of the night, we shared green rooms and coolers.

279I know you can't see them in this photo, but one night we opened for Tesla on Mainstage and after we got off, they shuttled us to the side stage to finish out the night after Tesla was done. Well, we got to hang with Tesla all day and by showtime we were pretty well acquainted. After Tesla's show, they discreetly wandered over to the side stage and watched us for about 45 minutes. Talk about intimidated. I was pretty self conscience knowing they were there watching us. Tesla rocks.

I got a zillion more pics. I go through and pick some out and come back later.

Yeah, I've had one since high school. Did wonders keeping me from getting carded at bars, though I get carded now far more than I ever did when I was under 21.

Wife digs it also, tickles her thighs.

 That's awesome. I think staches seem big in PA, never see them out here in CA.

I don't know anyone with one, never had one myself.

In N'awlins, they call that "Le' Pus Cushon."

Translated it means "The Pussy Cushion."

I agree, the one I have is so versatile in its settings that I can produce just about any sound I wish.. plug my strat into it turn up the volume set the base to about 6 and reverb to to about 4 and rock on

I've been playing 35 years but I work as a touring guitar tech.
When I'm not on the road I work as a stagehand and I also have a small shop where I do complete guitar repairs/maintenance/restorations.

My brother, uncles, and granddads played guitar, so does my son and nephews. It was easy for them to just pick it up without lessons. My Dad, me and my sister a girl cousins, forget it. We didn't get the gift. I can play a little flute.

The worst gig was opening a gospel show in Omaha, Nebraska and our drummer was drunk. The best gig was sitting in on bass for Tommy Cash, Johnny's brother.

Wow..a clavichord...don't see many of those any more.
I work for the Orchestra as a stagehand during their concert season and they have one...delicate little things...barely loud enough to be heard against a full orchestra..can't imagine how they'd work in a live RnR situation...

The last band I toured with had a KB player that had a clavinet and a B3 with a Leslie...

If it didn't need so much work I would have saved it ... but I could never get it to stay tuned.

I have a Parker Nitefly I play. This isn't mine but it looks almost identical:

I have an Ovation acoustic/electric I like to play. Good sound but it can sound a bit "tinny"(not much low end) sometimes.

As far as amps go I like Line 6. I use a Pod:

I also use a Line 6 AX212:

I have a pod, too..I hardly ever use it anymore, though.
I just use a Boss blues driver for a touch of crunch and a Boss dd7 as a delay..Pretty versatile...and a Hot Rod Deluxe amp.
I find it breaks up a little too much..Even without and post gain.
I need to try some different pre amp tubes to smooth it out a little.

I sing and play guitar. Mostly acoustic solo renditions of classic rock songs nowadays. I was in a cover band for several years and ended up quitting my 17 year retail career to start my own entertainment company 6 years ago. I host a local Sunday Blues Jam and my company promotes and/or hosts 3 open mic nights, 10 karaoke shows, and several live music shows a week.

My two sons are excellent musicians, both better that I could ever be. That makes me happy and proud. Here's a band that formed at one of my open mic nights. They just released their first CD. If you like Red Dirt/Texas Country you'll love them. The lead singer and lead guitar player were in local/regional metal bands for many years but they evolved into their own sound after moving here to Phoenix.Sour Diesel Trainwreck is their name.Listen to the song Wilder Side (ballad) for sure. It's my favorite. 90 Days To Mexico is a true story and highlights their guitar skills.Enjoy!http://www.reverbnation.com/sourdieseltrainwreck

I used to play bass guitar (and occasionally the acoustic guitar, when the regular didn't show up) for a church.

I also play an Electric BC Rich Warlock and an Acoustic Lotus.
