I don't have to be a mile back in the woods to enjoy the outdoors . Today I puttered in the garden and made a great, if I do say so myself, fresh garden salad. Several kinds of lettuce , including romaine , a ton of cherry tomatoes cut in half and a few sliced romas, plus some small secondary brocalli heads and some other odds and ends . There are rasberries and blackberries in the backyard I plan to add to the salad before supper

I skipped the dressing , but I think ranch would work well

There was originally some protein in it but the wife insisted that I take the slugs out. Women, go figure!

How about this! Some tasty linguine tossed with garlic, olive oil, and fresh broccoli and then a perc for dessert. Kinda like an after dinner mint to clear up the garlic breath.

I like to make a salad with red grapes, berries, sliced mushrooms, raisins and walnuts, and blend in coconut cream. It's sweet, chewy, salty and crunchy. Very good.

Fruit salad is wonderful, all salad is great. I can do without the real sweet stuff.

Did you grow the broccoli?

Had a lobster dinner tonight, we're still celebrating our wedding anniversary. The salad had bleu cheese chunks the size of large grapes. It was great. I love a great salad.

That sounds wonderful! I hate to go somewhere that thinks a chunk of iceberg lettuce & a couple of half-ripe tomatoes is a salad!
