Terrell Eldorado Owens last caught an NFL pass on Dec. 12, 2010. He did so for the Cincinnati Bengals (http://thepoliticalforums.com/nfl/teams/cin) against the Pittsburgh Steelers (http://thepoliticalforums.com/nfl/teams/pit) in a 23-7 loss. It was a 22-yarder against one of the NFL's best defenses, and some 37-year-old receivers would consider that a good way to go out. Not T.O., though. After rehabbing a knee injury and entering into a contentious relationship (http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/terrell-owens-gets-50-severance-allen-wranglers-threatens-150431179.html) with the Allen Wranglers of the Indoor Football League, Owens finally has the shot (http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/terrell-owens-gets-50-severance-allen-wranglers-threatens-150431179.html) he's been waiting for.

The Seattle Seahawks (http://thepoliticalforums.com/nfl/teams/sea) brought Owens into their Renton, Wash., facility on Monday to see what the six-time Pro Bowler had left in the tank. As one source told Shutdown Corner, Owens ran a 4.5-40 in his Seahawks workout, and the team started to talk terms. Per Jay Glazer of Fox Sports, Owens has agreed to a one-year deal with Seattle.....snip~

Yep.....Virginia McCaskey. She is Fast and Furious. Pen, sword, all that. Donchaknows? Course unlike Holder She knows when to send one packing.

Which is what Seattle should have done. What a waste of money. 1 Catch, since 2010. They should have went with a Rookie Pick.

1 Million Dollars and a chance to get back on a Contending team. Plus one that made the playoffs.

This is a great signing by Seattle...teams can end NFL contracts any time. He played well in Buffalo and Cincy plus he knows this is his last chance. He'll keep his mouth shut and catch some balls. Who's the QB in Seattle now? Seneca Wallace is gone right? And Hasselback is with the Titans...T.O. is still an elite player/athlete but he'll never get his head straight

This isn't about TO, it's about how dumbfuck the shehawks are.

They have a history of over-paying washed-up or under-performing players, which is why the only noise you ever heard from them was SBXL when they essentially backed into the playoffs for being the least sucky team in the NFC West.

They are almost Cleveland West, and if you haven't noticed - they do tend to sign a lot of ex-stains players. Or they were for a while there.

Aw jeez not this again. You're just jealous because they're the rightful winners of that SB. And about 25 franchises would kill to have gotten to a Super Bowl in the last decade.

It's a smart signing...1M isn't much by NFL standards and they don't have chit at the WR position. I guess Flynn from the Packers will be the probable starter...Tavaris Jackson the backup.

Signing TO (Terrell Owens) for free is a dumb move.

Who was he with last? Buffalo - I don't remember, but just ask them.

For his last season 2010 in Cincy with a crap Qb - that's 72 catches, 983 yards, 13.7 avg, at least two 78 yard catches and 9 TDs...not so bad!

Now break that down into $$$'s per catch/yard/TD.

Haha, T.O. hasn't made money for a long time...not since Dallas kicked him to the curb. You really don't think he's a great WR? He's an ass and I wouldn't put him in a situation without strong lockerroom leadership + an established QB but you're talking crazytalk.

On July 27, 2010, Owens signed a one year contract with the Cincinnati Bengals (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cincinnati_Bengals). It was reportedly worth two million dollars, with another two million dollars possible from bonuses. He joined Carson Palmer (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carson_Palmer)and Chad Ochocinco (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chad_Ochocinco), both of whom lobbied for the Bengals to sign Owens. He received his old number, #81, given to him by free-agent acquisition wide receiver Antonio Bryant (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antonio_Bryant) in exchange for an undisclosed sum of money to be donated to a charity of Bryant's choice.

I thought he made 5m at Buffalo. I don't know what he made in cincy, but... where's the math?

Even if you're right - and you might be, I don't know the numbers, I wouldn't touch him with a fucking barge pole.

The only reason for signing a guy like this, the only sensible scenario is a team who's a **** hair from being a SB contender and maybe signing someone who can make a difference for one year to get them over that bar might make sense.

Seattle isn't that team, not even close.

Well I guess we are on opposite ends...if you're that close to the SB I wouldn't bring a cancer like that into the locker room. If I'm a shit team looking to sell tickets I sign him on the cheap...it's a gamble and it's easier to take a chance when you've got nothing to lose. Pete Carroll has a loose style that works with some guys but not others.

Irates playing the Dre's later in the week.

Hey - I might be offline here and there the rest of the week. Camping up in NY. Supposed to have internet, but that's always a gamble.

Must sleep, later.
