The tree about 50' up, pretty much dead. its 4" maybe 5" dia. at the base. The snow doesn't make it any easier to bring the rounds down to the splitter. There more than enough wood in that tree to supply the firewood we need. If i get it down before the snow get too deep. You can see a scag behind and to the left about twenty feet tall, the top has broken off. Maybe I'll get that instead.

Pine burns mighty fast, no hard wood around ??

I remember you saying that now, sometime ago. Just hardwood for us, what little pine I acquire is used for kindling.
