View Full Version : "Invalid redirect"

I think I may have brought this up before, but when I go to the main page "http://www.thepoliticalforums.com" and log in, it says "invalid redirect". When I click the banner in the upper left hand corner, it brings me to "http://www.thepoliticalforums.com/forum.php" and it logs me in just fine. I select the "remember me" option so I don't have to log in each time, but the only time the cookie works is when I go to "http://www.thepoliticalforums.com/forum.php".

Is there a fix for this? Maybe just set up an automatic redirect to forum.php?

I don't know if this helps, but I use Firefox also. I have a shortcut that goes to the PHP link and it puts me there every time.

Yeah, I may have to do that. It's not a huge issue for me or anything, but it seems like it would be a simple enough fix.

I just tried it and i couldn't get it to happen...do you have to click on that "click here if your browser does not automatically redirect you" or does the whole screen go blank with that "invalid redirect"? maybe it is some setting in your browser?

When I click the banner in the upper left, it redirects me to forum.php and it logs me in automatically. If I exit the site and go back to "http://www.thepoliticalforums.com", I have to log back in again even if I had the "remember me" option checked.

No effect. Http://www.thepoliticalforums.com still requires me to log in each time, and when I do it says "invalid redirect". If I go straight to Http://www.thepoliticalforums.com/forum.php, it logs me in normally.

just one question .. is your browser set to remember passwords?

No, I don't like to have my system setup that way, due to security concerns. Cookies usually work fine, and they work on this site as well, but not on http://www.thepoliticalforums.com for some reason.
