As questions swirl about the death of Rebecca Zahau, Paradise Valley businessman Jonah Shacknai has asked the California attorney general to take a second look at findings that Zahau committed suicide by hanging herself from the balcony of his summer home in Coronado.
Shacknai said in a letter sent Monday to the attorney general that he does not doubt the San Diego County Sheriff's Department's conclusion that his 32-year-old girlfriend committed suicide. But he wants a second review to put to rest speculation about the deaths of Zahau and his 6-year-old son, Max.
Authorities concluded that Zahau tied her own hands and feet and dropped off the balcony on July 13, two days after Max had suffered a devastating fall at the Coronado mansion while under Zahau's care. Max died later that week at a San Diego hospital.

The Sheriff’s Department will re-examine the cell phone of Rebecca Zahau with technological programs that it previously did not have available, homicide Lt. Larry Nesbit said Wednesday.
Zahau’s phone had been searched manually, Nesbit said. It will now be examined with a new Windows-based operating system, he said. Nesbit said the case was not being reopened, but if “something relevant” was found, that could be a possibility.

So perhaps it will not be reopened but there are still a lot of questions to be answered.
