One reason it is called Angel, is when the plane releases its decoy flares, as is shown in several of the pictures, it creates an Angel shape in the smoke.

Excuse me but a video like this is not "cool"... it's awesome...:) ANY video of our men and women in uniform while they do their duty for this nation is.

I was thinking of going Airborne but my Drill Instructor sat us all down and said "Guys, there's only two things that fall out of the sky, that's fools and birdshit." :)
Still, I have a lot of respect for those guys that have the courage and cojones to jump out of a perfectly good airplane.

It is lots of fun, even though I don't think I have had a great landing, and I have smashed my face on the outside skin of a C-130. That was wild. I have a habit of looking up after my cute deploys, that time I saw 3/4 ground past my cute! Cool.

Canada too, who suffered the highest per capita casualties in Afghanistan has a land based tribute...maybe because the country doesn't have many C-130's....
