Pinker, a cognitive psychologist, on the left, speaks of how the left defines the right, speaks about free speech and PC intolerance of it in universities to the point free speech is branded a right wing issue, speaks about the left pole where anything to the right of that extreme is branded right wing.

I agree with him. He seemed like he would liked to say even more but held back a bit. As far as the universities and colleges being so hard left and ridiculously PC someone needs to make the young people take a step back and realize they have and are being conditioned. Conditioned people can't truly be free. That applies to hard right ideologues too.

Actually they're being cheated of an education. Munger, a somewhat conservative professor, points out how liberal students who agree with liberal professors just don't face the same challenges a conservative student will to defend his or her ideas.

Pinker ought to know. I'm sure his perspective on biological race has raised more than a few eyebrows on the kook left.

Led me to google "Pinker on biological race" which led me to this:

Fascinating article that directly supports one of my deep background "hard-SF" assumptions for the novel's Universe. Thanks.
