I did my research over the last few days. I looked at about one-half of the web hosting websites in the top ten. Once I made my choice I decided to come here and click on the banner advertisement at the top of the page. I signed up for three years of web hosting this morning with Bluehost.com. I will be hosting two of my web sites there.

I wouldn't touch a banner ad with a barge pole.

I have considered chatting now with Hungarian Beauties (or was it Asian chicks?) several times...but opted for Bluehost.com instead.

Ironically you're likely still dealing with Asians.

Banner ads should always have an option for change the ad, dammit, I already bought that.

Having clicked through and purchasing once I should never see a banner advert for Bluehost again. Instead, I will see it most of the time.

I have no problem with that also, fwiw, I will never click a banner ad in fact I consider them a security risk and they choke up the forum page loads so I use adblock.

Ah. I wonder if a click nets the site a few more pennies than just displaying a banner?

Use the donate feature along with ad block plus.

Will a donation bring my karma points up? It's the one barometer that defines my internet self.

I think a click-thru earns more but the main selling point is exposure and name recognition and that's by page hits.
