Virginia goes to the polls (https://realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2017/governor/va/virginia_governor_gillespie_vs_northam-6197.html)

The 3rd Party candidate has gotten zero press.

Polling has shown a close race with the (D) slightly ahead. CNN reported on a poll showing him up 17 points (http://www.cnn.com/2017/10/30/politics/poll-virginia-governor/index.html) in the week before the election. Many locals see that as a blatant misrepresentation of the race. It likely increased turnout for the (R). Turnout is typically low here for local races.

We will soon see who wins.

Kind of strange the dem is ahead for governor but behind for Lt gov right now. Northam is projected winner per MSNBC

Makes me wonder if there is a race component since neither really is campaigning in media that much

Virginia is a blue state. Too many people from Maryland jumped the border.
