I didn't see a thing on here for country music so I figured I'd start one. I don't know if there are any country music fans on here since there isn't a country topic on here but it's by far my favorite type of music.

I like traditional music but not the popularized genre they call "country".

What do you consider traditional? Like which singers?

There's only one country musician I enjoy.
Sorry. Most of it is trash, IMHO.

Like do you listen to people like blake shelton, lady a, zac brown band, carrie underwood, kenny chesney, brad paisley, keith urban, hunter hayes, and people like that? I won't say Taylor Swift because i'm sure she isn't your type of music :)

I like the old timey country right when music started being recorded, like Frank Hutchinson:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UwdpBP9pldE

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-UFhQIN528

Outlaw country like Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson--they are good.

I don't keep up much with modern music.

Banjo and fiddle type music. Bluegrass is the polished form of the kind of music I'm talking about. Some examples:

http://www.amazon.com/Red-Lick/dp/B003F0O4K4/ref=sr_1_cc_1?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1355626752&sr=1-1-catcorr&keywords=banjo+red+lick

http://www.amazon.com/North-Carolina-Collection-Various-Artists/dp/B000005YVM/ref=sr_1_8?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1355626629&sr=1-8&keywords=banjo+collection

Instead of traditional I sometimes say regional.

Good stuff. I like the modern stuff too as long as they honor the traditional forms.

Chloe, I love Carrie, Kenny, Brad, and Keith. I don't care much for most of the REALLY old country music (i.e. Hank Williams or Loretta Lynn).....but I really started liking it in the 80s with Randy Travis, Clint Black, and the like. I also like a lot of Shania Twain's stuff. Post some!

I don't mind Shania Twain from what I downloaded off itunes. I like Garth Brooks too.

Clawhammer!

There are few music styles I don't like, pop country I despise. Soccer-mom music played in continuous rotation.

Old-school country - yeah, I'm all over it. Cash, Hank Sr. - all that cheezy bar/truck driving stuff.

Extra cheese is ok.

Most of the major country guys right now don't really have to sing for me to like them, but I do enjoy the music :)

Yeah see I just couldn't do it either. I got through about the first 20 seconds and had to go to my itunes to get the sound out of my head :)

As for the pop country stuff people love to bash on Taylor Swift but almost every song she puts out does great on the radio and in CD and itunes sales. I personally like her music.

What I don't like about pop country is it's too refined and gimmicky. I appreciate rustic banjo tunes. Clawhammer is great but I like all the styles.

I had a chance to see Taylor Swift at a Wyoming rodeo a few summers ago before anyone knew who she was. I was really interested in going to the rodeo but I never did.

I like Kenny Chesney, and Zac Brown Band off that list. But my all time favorite country artist is a feller by the name of Junior Brown. In fact, Junior is one of my favorite artists of all time.

Not quite.

For some reason people love to beat up on Taylor Swift but there is a reason why almost all of her songs are on the radio, she wins tons of awards, and her CD sales and concert sales are always through the roof...She is very talented and a way good entertainer.

I lot of people buy white bread and velveeta. A lot of people shop at Wal-mart. That doesn't make them LESS backwater hillbillys.

I think you are misjudging the people that would typically be at her concert or most modern day country singers concerts but ok. I'm not a backwater hillbilly and most people I know that like country music arent either.

How do you post video's from youtube on here?

I just copy the URL in and it vbulletin automatically embeds the video. Otherwise there is a tool when you post that looks like a film reel. You can copy the URL in there too and the video will embed. Both ways work for me.

What trailer park do you come from? You mess with me ya messed with the whole trailer park I actually live at the end of a trailerpark I share a property line with Meroa Pines Mobile Park And despite what bullcrap stories people make about trailer parks most are honest peopke who happen to be struggling Actually half aint struggling they got more $$$$$ than we got What they seek is PRIVACY Our small farm is adjacent we share property line But over the years we've gotten to know many Many are way richer than us or my neighbors but going 2/3 miles up gravel county roads and an unofficial code of conduct preserves ANNONYMITY And honestly Id take one of those deckedout doublewides over mid-city anyday cause its dark we can see the stars at night and the river is easy walk
