    LIV Golf vs The PGA

If your a golf fan, this is turning into a big deal. The Saudi backed LIV tour just paid Phil Michelson 20 million to sign on. The PGA suspended him. They suspended every PGA member who followed him.

That really doesn’t mean much. Being suspended from the PGA can’t keep them out of the majors as most of them are not PGA events.

The LIV is offering huge money even for players who finish far down the leader board.

It’s going to be interesting to see how this shakes out.

LIV Golf Tour is set to host its inaugural event in London from Thursday, June 9 through Saturday, June 11. As the start date for the tournament draws nearer, there is more and more intrigue surrounding the upstart golf tour.
LIV Golf has managed to lure players like Dustin Johnson, Phil Mickelson, Louis Oosthuizen and Kevin Na over from the PGA Tour to join its ranks. While the PGA Tour is still extremely strong, LIV Golf is looking to prove that it is more than just a blip on the radar.

Wasn't it $200,000,000? They offered Tiger a billion dollars. He said 'no'. The Saudis are trying to sportswash their reputation.

    I'm all for it.

We have European and Asian leagues for other sports.

The PGA may be an admirable group but they don't own the players.

The Saudis do not need good press. They have Obama that ran over to kiss their ring and Biden over there begging for oil.
    Let's go Brandon !!!

The PGA ticked off a lot of fans by going woke. I don’t know if that’s going help the LIV tour.

Turns out Trump is all for the new golf tour. He's even hosting 2 events this year at Bedminster and Doral.
So he's joining right in on the sportswashing...straight into his wallet.

I played a lot of golf as a youngster. I'm 63 now and I don't play golf but I do love to watch a few of the PGA tournaments and the Majors each year. I think Saudi Arabia will own professional golf worldwide in the next few years and I'll be done with it as a fan.
