I got to my destination and drove down to my nearest neighbor to use his phone, he wasn't home, his gate was closed and locked, so, I drove down to another friend and used her phone to call home.

I had fully intended to stay up there through Monday, I stacked firewood on the front porch, enough for the coming storm, then Sunday morning I got the feeling I should just go back, it just kinda hit me when I woke up, "you need to leave today" is what I said to myself.

My husband didn't know I was coming back early, of course, I ran into freezing rain in Show Low and Salt River Canyon, my friend up there told me later, that it snowed a LOT.......I think I felt like I had to leave, because of having no cell phone and therefore no way to contact anyone if I needed help.

Whatever it was, I drove home very sick, there were times I thought I'd have to stop and throw up......I know, why did I leave if I felt sick, most people would not have.......but, I'm not most people.....a 6 hour, miserable drive.....I slept for 12 hours when I got back home .

It was supposed to have been a relaxing mini vacation, but, it started out all wrong and, went downhill from there.
So it was supposed to be a wood stacking vacation? LOL You need some tips on how to vacation.

Well the snow is really starting to ramp up. I think we are really in for it this year. It sure is lovely though. I was out for a walk in the snow and this guy stops his car next to me rolls down his window and says, "are we having fun yet" then bursts out in maniacal laughter. That really made my day.

Thank you. Lol, Im a little bit scared. Last year I wanted snow so bad and was so excited when it started snowing, but it just never stopped. I was like no more. It's awesome for a day or two but after that it starts to get real. It has already snowed about 9" today and there is no end in sight. Craaap, lol. I went grocery shopping in advance though. This year I also bought new tires and my pappa gave me some chains.
