"Science" isn't telling you any of that. Political hacks masquerading as "scientists" are telling you that. There is a difference.

The more usual argument is you (generic) believe in God, I (generic) believe in science as found in this (big bang) or that (evolution) theory. I have evidence on my side, you have no evidence, therefore you're full of stuff and nonsense, you are ignorant, you are stupid, you are dumb, you are foolish and unlearned, you make me laugh. and so on. That is the theme of this thread. But it's a double strawman that both misrepresents religion and misrepresents science.

Scientist is defined by someone that studies science. Nothing more. There is no implied correctness associated with that person or group. People rarely hire a scientist. They hire engineers, physicists, chemists, biologists...because just scientist would infer being an expert in everything.

So there are 7 major creation theories out there and at least 6 are wrong plus the religious theories. But none of those theories have to be correct.

Widely accepted theories have been tossed in the trash pile throughout history including many times on the origins of the universe.

Speculative physics cannot be used in the same sentence as truth, fact or any word that provides certainty or authority.

So when someone says that others do not know what science means then I see that as someone trying to project false authority.

Would you agree that science is just as prone to corruption as religion?

I believe in both God and science. Far too many people think its an either/or scenario. If you believe in God you can't believe in science and vice versa. I totally reject that notion. I also believe we do not have all the answers and some of the answers we do have are actually incorrect.

Using the Standard Model (relativity) alone, sure. Once we truly understand quantum physics and how it works with the Standard Model..., we may see more.

I don't disagree with that. What exactly do we disagree with in our arguments? And please, if you truly wish to be taken seriously stop with the mocking of religious belief. "Goddunit" is demeaning and unnecessary.
