I see a fairly big contrast between Capitalism and marxism. Where does your faith lie on the spectrum of self responsibility for yourself versus taking dependence from someone else responsibile for your own damn self.

There is the first sentence. Then there is the second sentence. Which sentence best describes you?
So I have a secret for you. EVERY society involves people relying on each other. Even in anarchist societies, people would form tribes in order to survive.
What Marx is saying in that quote is that everyone should contribute what they can. That in no way contradicts the idea that we all have human rights.

Under Capitalism, we have less freedom because power is condensed among the elitists. Whereas with Socialism, power is more evenly spread throughout society. Things like collectivization of the means of production give the workers a voice. If anything, this is more in the spirit of human rights than Capitalism is. And we'd still have personal responsibility. We'd have more power, but we'd still have to work and take care of ourselves.

Marx never worked a day in his life. He freeloaded off his friends. This was his self-serving ideology.

'from each according to their ability' this is in lines with the record of historic key benefits of free markets benefiting all of society. maybe you are just a depressing person, having to justify the abject failure of Marx's teachings becoming implement everywhere in the world in certain countries. And there is no good long term achievement. Everyone just expects the Gov't will provide for them.

Can anyone think of a socialist state where power wasn't "condensed" at the top?
Whoever criticizes capitalism, while approving immigration, whose working class is its first victim, had better shut up. Whoever criticizes immigration, while remaining silent about capitalism, should do the same.
