[FR/Major Brush / Wildland Fire] HFD continues to battle a major wildland fire in North Hawaii. Evacuation Orders in place for Waikoloa Village, Waiki'i, and Pu'ukapu. Road Closures are also in effect.

Hopefully they were able to contain it. A wild fire on as island presents even more problems than they typically do.

So after a dry June and a super wet and fairly cool July we are getting some nice weather in August. the past two days high 70's to low 80's and lots of sun.

Here in NNY we got our first frost of the year just this past week. Pretty much unheard of here. Lucky to get out of september without at least one. Easily met my rule of not turning on the heat until October. Even today it's in the low 50's , beautiful day.

Newton county TX, looks like you have at least a F3 tornado on the ground heading towards you.

TX has a search and rescue crews in Orange County after a few tornados.
