You're supposed to be able to click 'embed tweet' then copy the link they give you but there must be another step I don't know about.

Embedding Tweets is usually done in the source code of a website. Here's an example of a piece of code used to embed a Tweet in a website:
tPF doesn't have the functionality to embed Tweets at the user level.<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Most people don't tag their precise location in Tweets, so we're removing this ability to simplify your Tweeting experience. You'll still be able to tag your precise location in Tweets through our updated camera. It's helpful when sharing on-the-ground moments.</p>— Twitter Support (@TwitterSupport) <a href="https://twitter.com/TwitterSupport/status/1141039841993355264?ref_src=twsrc^tfw">June 18, 2019</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Here's how I post Tweets.
Step 1: Hold the Windows button, the shift key, and the 's' key down at the same time
This should bring up a cross-hair or some other cursor which allows you to drag and select part of the screen.
Step 2: Upload the image to Imgur
After you've captured your screen shot, go to https://imgur.com/upload, and left-click on the box that says "Drop images here":
Then press ctrl + v to paste your image onto the page.
Step 3: copy the image URL and paste it into the tPF text editor
Once your image is uploaded to Imgur, right-click on the image, select "open image in new tab", and then copy the image URL in the address bar of the new tab.
Step 4: Insert image into post
Click the 'Insert Image' button at the top of the text editor, select the 'From URL' tab, paste the URL into the text box, uncheck the 'Retrieve remote file and reference locally' box, and click 'Okay'.
You don't have to sign up for an Imgur account to do this. The only downside I think is that the image URL will expire after a while, but I think it takes several months before that happens.
You could also save them to your computer and then upload them from there, but my way is way quicker and easier.
Power always thinks it has a great soul, and vast views, beyond the comprehension of the weak. And that it is doing God service when it is violating all His laws.

Thank you for the comprehensive instructions. I appreciate it.
I have no problem posting pics either from the internet or from my computer. I can't, however, post videos from threads in Twitter. I can post the stills and/or the link but not the videos. Other people seem to be able to do it but it escapes me.
