They are hard core coming after regular long guns in NYS. I guess so called assualt weapons aren't good enough? They want to force you to "apply for" a hunting licence and attend a course in order to purchase a long gun!
Interpreted what this really means is : "We want to make it difficult for poor folks to have guns by establishing cost barriers. This way the poor will remain victims begging for our protection from the criminals we refuse to keep off their streets because they will be unable to defend themselves. We on the other hand can be protected by guns anytime we want."

Oh yeah via anotther bill they want to mandate insurance for gun owners of at least 1,000,000. S2857A More price barriers but not for them of course. Their twisted intent could not be more clear.

NY State is a place of incredible natural beauty, Finger Lakes, Thousand Islands area, Adirondacks, Hudson Valley.. etc.. Problem is the Communists have made it impossible to consider it a place to go for vacation, let alone retirement in some of these places.

They are most likely doing it for the same reasons you have to have a license to operate a motor vehicle and have insurance on it. They want to make sure you have the basic skills to operate a motor vehicle and if you are involved in an accident, you have insurance to pay for whatever damages you or the other driver create.

Not only that but THEY like to vacation in the Adirondacks so much that they have killed virtually all other forms of employment in the park. Lake Placid looks vibrant and busy but get outside of there and it it's all going to hell.

Meh, more than likely the Democrats that run your state are doing it for the money. As they are desperate for money. Especially since people keep bailing out of NY and NYC. Then would be the issue to make it harder for Law abiding citizens to get guns.


Especially considering other states are making it easier to carry a gun.

NY State needs to split from greater NYC. They have nothing in common.

The city residents have cops on every corner to protect them. They depend on public transportation. They depend on government services. They have an entirely different idea on how to live.
NY State suffers because of the control caused by the small liberal land mass. The state residents are abused with high taxation because of the waste and demands of NYC.
