Right. But they didn't count on the existence of political parties. They feared the formation of parties. With the advent of parties, a monkey wrench is thrown in. People no longer vote their conscience. They vote their party for the most part. Making changes more than just "not easy".



No one is calling the Constitution a train wreck. But just like you said. Time marches on. Circumstances change.

To err is human. Surely you are not claiming the Founding Fathers were infallible or could not have made a mistake.
