The vast majority of Texans over 50 are fully vaccinated and virtually everyone over 50 has received at least one dose. I suspect the remainder simply can't receive the vaccine for medical reasons.

I think those estimates are right. Overall we are at 58% fully vaccinated. Not great considering vaccines have been available for a year.

That's where I got the stats from.

Why do you say that? I'm not vaccinated. I'm younger and in good health. That's probably what's going in in Texas. It's very rare for healthy individuals under 50 to die from Covid.

It's not rare for younger ones to catch it and infect others. Vaxxing gives one a better chance at fighting off infection. Folks in their 40's are dying from it too. I am a probate and real estate attorney. I read a lot of death certificates.

Then these are pretty $#@!ty vaccines.

Less than 7% of Covid deaths nationally occurred among individuals under 50. I suspect virtually all of them had multiple comorbidities.

Look I'm not anti-vaccine. I told my mom to get it. Of course, she didn't, got Covid, and felt like $#@! for 2 weeks or so. If you are vulnerable, I say get it.

Death Certificates don't have vaccination status on them so I am never sure about that.
