Power always thinks it has a great soul, and vast views, beyond the comprehension of the weak. And that it is doing God service when it is violating all His laws.

Okay, maybe it's not exactly a classic, but for some reason I just had to re-watch The Prophecy today. Sort of a religious horror fantasy. Great cast - Elias Koteas, Christoher Walken, Eric Stoltz, Virginia Madsen, Amanda Plummer, and a very memorable appearance by Viggo Mortensen. Some very scary moments and just cheesy enough to make it a cult favorite. Made in 1995 on a budget of $8 million and shot around the old mining towns of Superior, Globe and Miami in east-central Arizona. Great fun and some great quotes out of Walken and Mortensen.

I find most all horror movies funny and lame.......and so fake.
I found the original Nightmare on Elm Street series a hoot, because Freddie Kreuger was just a fun character!
I LOVED the Alien series, but I don't consider it horror, just really freeking awesome scifi.
The ONLY horror movie that scared the poop out of me, was American Werewolf in London.
Don't really know why....all I can think of is it had a really good creep factor in it.
Now the two horror movies that are my favorites:
