I'm a retired scientist, a native of Staten Island, NYC. My background, including a classic undergraduate education and graduate work in different fields, has hopefully broadened my outlook and understanding on some of the issues du jour. [Ed.: 'Issues' and 'Problems' differ in that issues are for arguing, problems are to be solved.]
I've a background in statistics and a mental toolkit which includes causality and a highly sensitive logic error detector. If you wish to sum me in a label, 'secular humanist' is acceptable and accurate to a first approximation.
Looking forward to interacting with those interested in serious exploration of this and that. I will not respond to those who attack me personally nor will I bother to read their posts. That's for children. At 86, I'm an adult.
