    On-line vs. Brick & Mortar.

We've seen, especially in this decade, a shift to purchasing on-line rather than schlepping to the local store for whatever. The SARS-CoV-2 virus pandemic has resulted in a large shift in this trend. In all probability, part of that shift will remain in place even if all US restrictions are lifted.

It will be interesting to see where the situation settles 6 months or so after the development and distribution of a safe and effective Covid vaccine. I believe we will not return to the sales distribution of, say, January, 2020. Rather, we'll go back to some B&M purchases but continue along the trend already in progress.

Regards, stay safe 'n well. Remember the Big 3: masks, had washing and physical distancing.

There are several industries and types of goods that will always require a brick & mortar store, mainly, bricks and mortar, lol. The construction industry needs to be able to 'pick up and go' and shipping for construction goods, appliances and other weight/dims goods would be unrealistic on a piece by piece basis.

Personally, I am a hands on person. I need to handle and inspect an item. I may later purchase it online (if the price incentive is there) but the majority is purchased from retailers, because I also consider who the retailer employs... usually my neighbors and local people. Not everybody is cut out to handle warehouse work.

So, how do you buy the plethora of things the Democrats prohibited during the Lockdown? Shoes? A friend of mine who wasn't allowed to work got an essential job doing gardening for a government building. He wanted boots. He could see them in Walmart but they couldn't sell them. He ordered boots delivered. Or. what if you wanted to take your enforced leisure time and plant a large garden and lived where vegetable seeds could not be sold?

Democrats love controlling the minutiae in your life.
