Right. There is a big difference between personal and professional. If LeBron James or Adam Silver want to be at the DNC, they have that right. But once you inject it into the sport, it's a big no no. Some of these games have been hard to watch because of how political they've been. And at the same time, a white player was subjected to a racial slur and the NBA did nothing. It's all a joke.

They have the right to do it, since Adam Silver is running the league and he is allowing it. But it isn't good for business. They're alienating a large part of their audience. Can you imagine going to a job where they allow you to protest on the job? People should leave their politics at home, IMO.
I heard that there are owners who were not keen on the idea of painting Black Lives Matter on the court, but Silver told them they're doing it. Next year if they get to play in their home arenas I wonder if it will be painted in all the arenas.
