Well, feminists have said that female accusers always have to be believed, but let's put that aside.

You're saying that Jacob Blake should be presumed innocent of the sexual assault warrant against him, and I have no problem with that. But then shouldn't the cop who shot him also be presumed innocent? Yet these athletes are calling for his arrest.

From what I saw, that shooting was completely justified. Now I know many people will disagree with that. And maybe I'm old fashioned, but I've always been taught you don't give the police a reason to shoot you. These kids today seem to think that they should be allowed to do whatever they wish when it comes to the police, including throwing bricks at them, and it should all be just fine. There's certainly no need to follow their instructions.

But the point is the shooting is at least a little controversial, meaning there are two sides of the story. We will have to wait for the incident to be investigated before the matter continues. But they shut down the sports leagues because of this (and I'm beyond caring about that), as if this was a prime example of racism and police brutality. I happen to disagree with that, but they will not allow my viewpoint to be represented on the football field. To be fair, I don't want either view represented on the football field. Someone said the NFL should be like Switzerland, and stay out of it entirely, and I agree with that. But it's clear that team sports will never be free of politics again.

I can not speak for others.

    Many Feminists supported

    1) Clara Harris -- killed her husband for infidelity.
    2) Betty Broderick -- killed her husband and his new wife.
    3) Andrea Yates -- killed her children.

Even the worst people must have rights. For instance, in Canada and most of Europe, even the worst criminal has a right to fair trial and humane incarceration.

Victims have the right to be believed - by advocates, family, and friends. The criminal justice system is objective, and the media ought to strive for that. The public should mind their own business more often.

Yes, there is a presumption of innocence which is why I try to be careful with using words like murder, killing, and abuse. It would be nice if everyone could discuss the case without assuming guilt.

Jacob Blake did not deserve to be tortured.

    Even Osama was not tortured.

I was not happy when Senator John McCain died. Perhaps families of his victims celebrated, but that is Vietnamese language Social Media.

Why? Do they give up their right to free speech because they play a game.
I'm ditching tPF. This is nothing but a right wing crackpot troll farm.

The league will not allow players to wear messages supporting fallen police. They can only wear messages supporting a certain narrative. So this is most certainly not about free speech.

    I guess so.

In my opinion, even the worst offenders have rights and should not be subject to inhumane treatment.

Paradoxically, in Norway and Canada, where prisons are humane, recidivism rate is lower then in USA.

You're not trying to claim that the NFL doesn't fine, suspend or punish players accused of domestic violence, are you?

The thread isn't about Trump. Did you notice that? What has the NFL to do with anything but a game?
