It has nothing to do with it. They don't have the right to free speech while working. Did you know that? Again, what has the NFL to do with it. They didn't allow others to put things on their helmet. What makes this any more special?

I have an update on this. Reportedly Jaguars TE Tyler Eifert will wear David Dorn's name on his helmet. I am absolutely shocked that the NFL is going to allow this, because this does not fit the woke narrative. Dorn was a retired police officer who was shot and killed during a "peaceful protest" when he responded to a burglar alarm in his friend's pawn shop. Maybe it's being allowed since Dorn was black (although BLM would deny that, and say he was "blue"). Or maybe it's an oversight.

I wonder if wearing something like that will make Eifert a target on the football field? If so, it's just one more reason to keep politics off the field.

My question is where are the feminists in all this? Jacob Blake had a warrant for sexual assault and reportedly had a long history of domestic abuse. Isn't this the kind of thing they would normally be decrying? Why are they silent on the NFL glorifying someone like this? What if players wore the name Harvey Weinstein on their helmets? And the same goes for the media. Apparently females are not the "oppressed victims" that are currently in vogue at the moment.

There is some history of black men ( far more likely to commit sex assault, DV or turn out their GF not to mention give her pet names like "$#@! and Ho" ) getting an obvious pass from feminism.
The many fragments of the ultra left coalition will eventually turn on each other ( like feminist and trans advocates)
IMO, the reason for this is that they are all about group rights ( black, female, trans, criminal etc) instead of simply advocarting for ALL of us to have the same rights.

True. Some people think conservatives are racist, but they actually want everyone to be treated the same. The left likes to hold up certain groups and cater to them by treating them like special snowflakes and telling them they need special considerations. I don't think they actually care about those groups other than thinking they can use them for votes.
