I can think of a hundred things that you could put on a bun that would be far more disgusting than a fairly innocuous piece of watermelon...although it seems like it would make the bun a soggy mess and although I'm normally a big onion fan - no, not with watermelon.

Nor I. You can put a big old portabella mushroom on it and that would be fine. Or just all the standard hamburger veggies. The Captain runs in the other direction but that's okay.

I don't know about on a bun but I encourage all of you that enjoy the BBQ to grill Watermelon it gets a little firmer when you grill it and much like pineapple and peaches it really brings out some great flavors.
