It's a "discussion" based on a silly, untrue premise and stereotype, posted solely to stroke the egos of and elicit insulting word of agreement from conservative men and understandable protests from the more liberal members. Troll thread.

Quite often, stereotypes start out based in reality. Granted, they often morph into something with little basis in reality, but occasionally, they hit pretty close to home. The limp wristed, man bun wearing, birkenstock shod, sashaying Leftist IS something you encounter far more often than you might expect.

I know you take offense because you self identify as Liberal, but after well over a decade of posting with you on various forums, I would have difficulty describing you as such. On some issues, you definitely hold what would be considered "Liberal" views, but on a lot of others (more than you may realize), the views you have expressed have a decidedly Conservative bent. That is why I tend to see you as what I call an HHH (Hubert Horatio Humphrey) Liberal. I actually see that as a good thing... something we could use more of in this country.

The flip side of that coin is the type of person usually considered "Liberal" today... They have made the term "Liberal man" into an oxymoron.

Some self-identified conservatives have fully embraced the stereotype and use it to denigrate and insult liberals in exactly the same way that some liberals like to represent conservatives as being pretty uniformly unwashed, overweight, beer-guzzling morons with bad teeth living in a trailer park. Yeah, both stereotypes exist in reality. So what? Tarring an entire political demographic with that brush is ignorant.

Which personaly I see as absolutely true.

Liberalism is born out of fear that one cannot take care of themselves. They are most likely over-insured in life knowing the odds are that they are losing money. They pretend they want it for others but the selfishness is clear to see when the fight starts and quickly turns to "I", "Me".

Economically you are also mostly fearful when you are starting out in life because you have little saved. You have a young family and you want others to provide for your family and are less valuable to employers.

So the less fearful that, take charge of their family and finances are going to be more conservative.
Those that are fearful are going to be more liberal.

I was looking at a break down of one of the major polls this morning. The general conclusion is that Trump wins hands down if you are 45 and older. Biden wins if you are younger than 45 with Biden having the biggest advantage in the under 30 voter that always promises but doesn't come out to vote.

When they grow up mentally then they will be less scared and vote conservative with their new confidence.
Those that stay scared will get government jobs or work for a union to negotiate their life for them.
