Football is about scoring touchdowns, getting stops on defense and winning games. It’s not a time to air your grievances with America.
If players actually feel that way, then take it to social media. I’m incredibly supportive of players using their platforms, but during the game isn’t the time or place.

You do realize that they don't televise the anthem? Only during post season play. Players were given the choice of staying off the field until after the anthem if they want, but that was last season before the league figured out which side their bread is buttered on.Originally Posted by FindersKeepers

You saw 'clips'. That means that someone had a camera during the anthem. That doesn't mean anyone watching at home was privy to the incident.
I don't have time to watch sports much anymore. But I'll record the games that interest me. 86.7% of those who claim they won't watch, are lying. They cannot resist.
My extreme Right Wing father in law was boycotting a few seasons ago. That lasted a couple of weeks.
The league doesn't care if any of those making these claims watches, or not.

If you are interested in football, you'll watch. Most who claim that they won't, never did. The anthem has absolutely nothing to do with 'the troops', so the argument has serious flaws.
You don't need a reason not to watch. Just don't if you aren't interested. Truthfully, you shouldn't watch because Kap is a great QB who made the game much more exciting. Blacklisting him was a mistake. There are fewer and fewer quality QBs in the league every year.
