The NFL opened it's season last night, in a time when the population is starving for something to distract them from the reality of Covid19 and the coming economic crisis...

Unemployment is still high and there are many businesses that are still not open to the public.

Add to this you had 2 very popular teams with 2 of the NFL's rising start Quarterbacks.

They were primed for a record setting night. but that was before the liberals'
decided that sports should be one of the venues that they push there socialist and communist ideas/

America tuned out the NFL and there Woke BS. Viewership was down 16.1% nearly 5 million fewer viewers WOW.

After trying to listen to sports radio these past few weeks I knew that I was not going to watch. But many tuned in, only to tune out a few minutes later, They had seen enough to tell them they were no longer interested in supporting such and anti American organization. Sadly these people will be counted among those that watched, And we will not likely know the full extent of the fall of until Sundays games.

What we do know is if the NFL does not find a way to bring those viewers back, The TV contracts are going to loose Hundreds of millions in revenue... Add to this most stadiums and Concession stands are closed, NFL gear sales are down, and the players are going to be finding themselves on the end of much smaller pay checks as the market has regressed to the viewership of 10 years ago.

And I for one think that maybe, just maybe, this is a good thing. Maybe a man playing a sport will not longer get paid so much that a factory working Dad can't afford to take there kids to a game. Maybe it is time that other things become important and Sports figures have to actually work for their fans instead of working against the USA

Boycott Professional Sports. Once upon a time I would have said never, but now.?????

They should adopt the exact rules as the NFL but take a stand that all players while being able to do what they want on their own time will respect the USA while in the employment of the xfl

And they should start playing ASAP It would end the NFL in one year.

Democrats should be even more concerned about these numbers, as this is a voting block that they could once count on. Those that have turned this off will likely be voting for Trump.

OH my dear friend. Liberals are in general Snowflakes, and American Football is too violent for them.. They are self proclaimed intellectuals so Soccer is there game. which happens to be the most corrupt sport in the world. So they love that as well. and the fans in Europe often hold Peaceful protests right in the stands. So it has everything that liberals love.

Now the NFL is the most Popular Sport in the USA, The NFL draft TV ratings is higher that the Championships of all other sports.

Conservatives, really have NO issue with anyone having an issue that they believe in. We understand that they are offended by some of the things that are going on. But there fans happen to be Conservative, Constitutional Americans, and they love Football YES, but they also love The National Anthem and what it means to them, the Love and Respect our Police. of which most are doing one hell of a job, they love the Military, They stand for the Constitution, and Freedom and they are Christian, Law Abiding Hard Working Citizens.

The Owners of these teams share their values and they are High Power Billionaires. and they own these teams to make money not loose it. TV ratings just took a huge hit. Networks will have to reduce prices that they charge for advertising, Season Ticket prices and ticket prices will need to be reduced. as well.

The Collective bargaining agreements that the Unions are part of bases the salary Cap on these revenue numbers.

So the Cap is going to be reduced..... So now these Hero Players that have the name of a Convicted Rapist of a 14 year old girl on their helmet. A man that was retrieving a weapon from his car to murder a police officer. That is who they are standing for.

So do you think that they love kneeling and disrespecting the Country and it's citizens. Do these Players really love these Thugs so much and believe that they truly should be above the law because of the color of their skin

Or when they find that they will be making a million dollars less a year, are they suddenly going to find a new respect for the USA that has given them so much.

I suspect that the players when facing massive pay cuts will suddenly have a change of heart.

There are, but they are largely protected as much of their wealth is currently off shore in the USA.

But NFL owners tend to be old money though not all of them are.

I can't find the actually attendance but you could still by tickets for the reduced capacity game.
They could not even sell out the tickets for the the dramatically reduced crowd with all the precautions.
Seating was only allowed as groups of 6 friends so there were no needs to scream stranger stranger stranger.
The MSM had no reason to claim the fans were afraid of COVID. The MSM was just embarrassed to see what a minority their snowflakes are in.

Then the real signal came when they booed the Moment of Silence for unity.

We still root for our teams when they lose. We don't when they become political activists.
