I think sometimes that those in charge of California's ecology deliberately ignore proper maintenance so they can blame someone else for their own failures.
Too much dead brush left alone is tinder for any fire to spread.
    Run two separate tests.
First test, keep your yard clean and clear then try to start a fire.
Second test, allow your yard to become heavily over-grown and filled with dead debris. Then start a fire. I hope your homeowner's insurance is current.
Fires don't recognize political affiliation. It eats everything it can. You either feed it or take it's "food source" away.
Oh, and rw have nothing to do with the way CA handles it's mess.

Now as stupid as the left. I recall Newsom telling everyone when California hit 130 degrees. My God, I exclaimed, that's damned hot! I looked it up and it was one place, in Death Valley, where it's normally that hot.

120!?!?! Right, in a few places, September 6, well after the fires started.

Perhaps instead of blaming global warming, maybe a little preventive work by clearing away dead trees from property developments would have been a solution.

Yeah, that is an OBVIOUS solution to the fuel load problem, but we are talking about people who are trained to be stupid on the environment issues, addled by the overblown global warming rhetoric.

IN the spring we made a number of day trips into the mountains just for fun and a cookout on top of FlagPole. What I noticed all the way up is a mess.... trees down, looks like a disaster movie. No sense in that. If they'd allow people in to get the dead and down there would be less chance of fire and more green. We pay taxes to upkeep those forrests and i'm seeing no upkeep. Hardheaded democrats in charge of Virginia.
I did a lot of hiking last fall and winter, until I broke a toe really bad. I saw a lot of dead wood in certain places- caused by several bad storms earlier in the year. They need to clear that crap out.

The increased intensity of fires from poor forest management policies has already been explained to you. Keep up. Or at least try to.

The reported high in Death Valley was 134 degrees in 1913. We are heading for an Ice Age!

An ice age, eventually. Thousands of years or 10s of thousands from now.

But currently I think we are heading into a little-ice age like we had started from between 1250 AD- 1650 AD (depending on which data you look at) and ending in the late 19th / early 20th century.
